Sorbitol is a hexahydric sugar alcohol used commonly in the food industry as well in the Pharma Industry as a sweetener and also to improve the texture and shelf-life of foods. This product satisfies international quality requirements and has been approved with the highest standards of Indian Pharmacopeia (IP), British Pharmacopeia (BP), and US Pharmacopeia (USP) for use as a sweetener in pharmaceuticals. It is Lyophilic, non-toxic, non-irritant, stable and chemically inert, resistant to heat, resistant to acid and is non-fermentable by microorganisms.
